Moving mountains

Mountain Move!

It’s testing time. Do you have faith? Do you believe that even though things look bleak that you could still overcome your battle?

We are all battling something right now on a personal level and the world is battling all kinds of things led by deception like never before. Many people will be and are being deceived right now. We are not going back, we are going to have to learn to walk through the fire. Together as believers, we are going to have to put on the full amour of God.

Ephesians 6:10-18 NIV

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

See things through the winners perspective

The battle is already won. We are in times that are full of worry and trial and full-on psychological and spiritual warfare. In these times we either lose faith or we press forward and believe in our God the one who never lies and will never fail us.

I always like to look at my life as a movie, you know the part where things get really shifty and you don’t know who’s going to make it out alive, well, we are in that part right now. Don’t forget there’s something good that always happens in the end.

God’s word is full of God’s promises, yet we are tempted to not trust Him and come up with our own plan. The battle is in our minds over all kinds of things. We struggle with our wants, with what’s right and we struggle to believe that if we follow God’s way that we might miss out, we might miss a moment of fun or that we miss an opportunity if we don’t take matters into our own hands.  I’m not going to say following God’s way is easy, it surely has its challenges but it’s not the time to be wishy-washy about our faith. We need to be aware of the times we are in and press into God and ask for decrement and revelation like never before. He will come through for His kids, but you need to take the time to ask Him to help you discern and to lead you through this season of uncertainty and expect Him to answer.

My life is a continuous testimony of His underserving Grace on my life and how He has changed me through trial and tribulations and how He brings me into repentance on a daily. I have learned that He doesn’t waste anything and that even when things look bad, God has a plan for good within the storm. God cares about what we think, what we watch, what we eat, what we agree to put in and do to our body, what we say, how we make and spend our money and He cares about who we choose to have relationships with. He cares about every hair on our heads and desires us to trust Him above all else. He knows everything that’s going on in our hearts and the hearts of others. He wants to protect people that love Him and He wants to lead those that don’t know Him to Him. He wants to give you the best life ever and has the perfect formula to get you there. After all, He is the author and creator of our faith and He talks to everyone who will take the chance to believe in His guiding voice.

The best way to move mountains that I’ve ever experienced is by realizing how small I am and how big God is. Reaching out to Him and placing the control and the outcome in His hands and remembering that my loving Father in heaven will only give good gifts to His children. When I focus on that, everything and every mountain seem small and movable. So rather than focusing on the mounatin itself I focus on the much bigger and greater God that created the mountains and trust that it will be done in His perfect timing and way.

Thank you!

When I think about how great my God is, nothing seems very scary or bothersome at all. Yes, trials are the very worst, but so are burpees but we know, when were are done, we will come out stronger and with more understanding and with more stamina for the real adventures to come. Little by little we learn that we aren’t in control and in that we can be at peace knowing who is.

Taking time away on the weekends to climb mountains keeps things in perspective for me.
