Being that we are under a renovation at the ark, there really wasn’t anywhere to host a Christmas for the folks out there. I had an idea that not only would be a great place to gather for Christmas dinner but also to enjoy for many gatherings throughout the year. I really wanted to have a sanctuary in general on the property. I just love tipis and needed a good excuse to get one. Being that Christmas is my favourite time of year, I thought it would be perfect. I just love the tipi for its gathering ability, its warmth, its comfort and its fashion in general. Plus, who wouldn’t want to enjoy a winter adventure in a tipi?

It would seem that many people are having a hard time knowing what to believe these days. Many people will only decide what’s true based on experience rather than research and understanding. I don’t blame anyone, it truly is hard to know what to believe and with limited time to read through thousands of articles, no wonder. The goal is to sniff out false information based on experience, faith and research. The truth is we aren’t always going to get it right but no scientist ever did the first time all the time. The point of looking into things isn’t always to be right but rather to start to learn to trust our gut instincts. We need to practice looking for the truth and always be ready to falsify anything that we have previously learned and if we find enough evidence to change our mind we need to have the courage to do so.
Although that statement can blanket a ton of topics these days this article is about 5G and EMF. Are they harmful and if so what are we going to do about it?
This post is for those that understand what’s going on, either from the the big picture in terms of the agenda… ( read more in my Get informed post here)
I want to start brainstorming as I know many people are on the same page in terms of understanding things need to change.
There really isn’t anything like getting outside away from wifi and just being in nature to reset, get inspired and just truly rest.
After writing the RESET-90 Happy Healthy days program I really wanted to have my own time to just unwind, reflect and recharge. I really think it’s important to do that every once in a while. Resetting may look different for different people at different times but for me, I’ve really had an urge to be outside and away from the hustle. I find that being in nature helps me connect with my creative side and allows me to just flow in a way that feels natural. Good sleep, exercise, creative activities and good food are all part of my perfect reset.
I spent the extra time reading, playing my guitar, painting and paddling. Although there were fires in the area it didn’t seem to bother me. I napped when the bugs started to get busy in the afternoon and just enjoyed the slow pace of the day. Each day was a little different and I had plenty of visitors but some of the days I got to enjoy all to myself which I am very thankful for.
Whether you are just starting out or you are getting ready for the next fitness challenge you will want to make sure you have some home gym equipment, especially these days when you never know what the “rules” will be about going to the gym. Basically, we need back up and a set up to make sure staying healthy is not put on the back burner. Let me show you my top picks, staring from small space friendly to those bigger basement or garage pieces we all dream about having. Don’t worry though, you don’t need all these ideas to stay in shape.
I had the opportunity to work for a home builder while I stayed and worked on a reno of my own. I truly feel that if you are thinking of getting into the home reno business that you should try and find your way to work with a professional in some way. I didn’t have any family with any experience so it was the best way I knew how to get the inside scoop on the trades, the home design and the interior decorating in one short season and of course make some money while you’re at it. I learned what I needed to know about the costs and what it would take to build my own or renovate. Of course, this also had its limits and the designs were for the suburbs but for functional city living in Alberta.
