We said yes!

Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the [a]remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

-Acts 2:28

Some things you can only explain to people that have ears to hear and eyes to see…..I totally get that now. You can try and convince people all day long but more than not you will just have to dust yourself off and keep it moving. God will put you in the right place at the right time, with the right people if you seek Him. He will always come through.

I don’t expect everyone that comes upon this post to understand but for those with a tender heart and the courage to dig deeper you may relate and understand. Getting baptized is just one drop in the bucket of things we are here on this earth to do. This is not our forever home but just a place we journey through for a time. A time for testing and a time for getting to know our Heavenly Father.

I was baptized as a baby but felt the call to do it again as an adult to admit my need for grace and take on the new life that Christ offers through believing in Him. As many of you know, I have always loved God but today was the day I again leave my past life and walk through in the new that God has for me. I was joined by a few others at our beautiful Eagle River and was led by our amazing Pastor Lawrence Rae.

I said YES! Will you?

It’s not about feelings…… Doing what is right is by faith in God and doing what He said to do in the Bible. God knows as He is the one who created this world, both what we can see (physical) and what we can not (spiritual). This is only part of the journey, and for some just the beginning. We are told that we will spend the rest of our lives working out our salvation with fear and trembling ( In faith that God will lead the way no matter what life throws at us, both good or bad). This is not the walk for the weak but if you start off that way and keep trusting in HIM, He will strengthen you for whatever you are called to do or to endure.

Jesus asked, “Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?” Then he pointed to his disciples and said, “Look, these are my mother and brothers. Anyone who does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother!”

Matthew 12:48-50 (NLT)

I had this verse come to me today as I was reflecting where God has had me land for this season… Many are called but few are chosen.

I always found over the years as being a seeker that other peoples stories always helped me stay strong when things got hard. I hope that you can see all the ways that God has saved me from illness, accidents, heart break, and the like and He has always brought me back over and over to show you that if He can do it for me He is willing to do it for you. He is calling your name and now is the time to say yes!

Why pay a price that has already been paid? At the end of the day it will all come down to connection with Jesus the one that took the punishment that we all deserved. Either you choose to say yes or no but no one will force you as true love is a choice. Will you be at the feast or will you be left behind? You are officially invited to also put your trust in Jesus but as you know, you don’t have forever to decide, for many, much less time than you might think. Many have been lost along the way and many have been invited but few will be celebrating. I hope with all my heart you will be with me in heaven on the other side and you will join me and our other family members in faith as we war the darkness of this earth together with Jesus and His angels!

Thanks be to God for this amazing family and the amazing journey!
